CARELESS ATTITUDE OF OMFED

Binjharpuri breed cow milk contains plenty of A2.

What happened to Binjharpuri breed conservation project ?
I think The project is sanctioned , funds placed either with Omfed or Animal Resources Dept.

I don’t know why the officers are not releasing the fund to the implementing agency ( cuttack milk union perhaps ).
For this reason only the project is delayed by 6 months or so .

Can anybody throw some light on this ?
To the bitter surprise all 7 MLAs of Jajpur are BJD MLAs, I fail to understand why this govt is overlooking the interest of Jajpur farmers .

Second
Omfed is hesitating to expand its market, perhaps conspiring to promote private players . Rural youth migrating to Keral, Hyderabad, Gujurat etc for a security guard job or as a Dadan worker.
Neighbouring states are producing and marketing more than 50 lakh litre milk per day, every Odishans are consuming Gujurat Amul even today, though Omfed is functioning from 1984 . But Omfed is stagnant at 5 lakh litre per day.
Minimum support price given by Omfed to milk farmers is 27/- per litre, which is below the production cost, though we consumers are paying Rs 40 per litre to Omfed .The cost of production of one litre milk is Rs 32/- .
Either Omfed should manage its overhead cost within Rs 3/- per litre or the govt should compensate the over head cost of Omfed. The farmers should get at least Rs 37/- per litre.

If the govt will give a subsidy of Rs 10/- per litre no youth will prefer to go for Dadan.

Two months back govt spelled its intention ( first time in Omfed ‘s life ) to give a subsidy of Re 1/- per litre from 1st August. But it is not yet implemented due to carelessness of departmental officers.

Instead of empowering our farmers, our rural youths, we are offering them free rice without work,
ok, it is the need of the hour to fight starvation,
but along with free rice we must empower our youths to earn their livelihood and make our Human Resources productive .

People of Odisha expects this type of statesmanship from a stable govt like BJD.

If the central govt will declare only two special packages for Odisha
1. Rs 10/- subsidy per litre of milk in the name of Modi farmer’s Care (500 cr)

2. Rs. 3,000/- old age pension for all senior citizens of Odisha ( 10 thousand cr ) from central govt fund,

BJP in Odisha will require no party fund for election campaign and BJD chapter of politics will be taught in history book.
